JULY 4th - INDEPENDENCE DAY
Are you starting to get in the mood for Fourth of July?
Buy your fireworks. Help make patriotic bunting to decorate the house. Grab a good book from your library (ask the librarian for suggestions). And, make some red, white and blue Jello-Jigglers to tie it all together.
Fourth of July is often a time of heritage crafts and imaginative play. It's also a time to recall some of the times when American ingenuity opened the world to new ideas.
Case in point: The Wright brothers. A couple of guys who were known for crashing something that was supposed to fly...until the day that the crash didn't happen and they made history.
