Disaster Preparedness
-----
Don't forget to plan for dependents, medical conditions, pets and more. Double check your plans. (Will you be able to take a pet to your local shelter? Does your emergency management department accept volunteers/donations? Have you obtained the qualifications you would need to help serve food, work at an emergency shelter, etc? Are you qualified to help yourself, your family, your neighbors and your community?) After the event is too late to plan. Plan now.
-----
At the least, create an emergency plan and kit for your home and follow your emergency management department.
Ex. If you live in or visit Cowley County (KS, USA), you can follow Cowley County EM on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/CowleyCountyEM, Twitter https://twitter.com/CowleyCountyEM and visit their website to sign up for Alerts https://www.cowleycountyks.gov/em?fbclid=IwAR2rA1wN1KN0CT3zRUjan5OSyp3PtGOgiRreW8ZHzdUT9DvTdcroAzcof0A.
